How to best prepare yourself for the week ahead
Conquer the Sunday Blues by preparing yourself for the week ahead! Here are 4 tips to help you wake up Monday morning refreshed, and ready to take on the busy week ahead.
1- Check your diary & make a To-Do list
Knowing what you have on in the week ahead and what you want to get done, will ensure you will be productive, organised and calm. Check your diary to familiarise yourself with appointments, tasks and events you have on and prepare accordingly. Also prepare yourself a To-Do list for the week, as this will ensure you get what you want to get done, DONE! This will also ensure your jobs aren’t all left to the weekend, a time where you want to relax!
2- Sort Clothes and Food for the week.
These can be two big headaches when dealing with the week ahead. No one wants to wake up Monday morning, only to find their work uniform scrunched up on the floor of the laundry. PANIC MODE! And no one likes to figure out what they are going to have for lunch that day at 6am. Preparation, preparation, preparation!! Plan ahead; iron your work shirts on the weekend, prep and cook some meals and snacks to have during the week. You will thank yourself during the week.
3- Clean out your work bag and car.
Somehow by the end of the week, my bag is full of god knows what and seems about 1kg heavier… Not to mention my car is trashed with containers, food wrappers, and clutter that simply does not need to be there! Clean both these things up and start the week fresh and organised, you’ll feel great for it!
4- Look After Yourself and take time for you!
Ensure you make time to do something that makes you happy! Whether thats going for a walk with your dog, going to pilates with a friend, watching the latest episode of Game of Thrones or reading your book. Slow down for a bit and take the time to do something you really enjoy.
